The subject that has been on my mind for the last few weeks has been this simple phrase written by the beloved Apostle John: GOD is love... God IS love... God is LOVE... I know of no better contemplation, no better meditation, no better daydream than this single revelation. It's the place where "pleasures evermore" are experienced (Ps. 16:11). It's the place where all love and spiritual growth begins. It's the place where we finally move beyond the trap of self-focus and introspection into deeply feeling our neighbor's need, carrying one another's burdens, and loving sincerely from a pure heart. It's our great exploration throughout all eternity - this journey of discovering and experiencing God's overflowing, relentless kindness towards us in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2 & John 17:3).
