A number of people have asked me lately what are the best (spiritual) books I've read, or my top 5, or my favorite book ever... And for the record I very much dislike when people recommend me a book that is pretty average when they made it out to sound like the GREATEST thing since sliced bread. So in light of that I decided for all who may be interested the following is MY LIST - the top 9 in the order of MOST-EST favorite to MOST-ER favorite to MOST favorite... ;-) they're ALL good!! Everyone one of these impacted me in a profound way and you won't be disappointed!! I've included the theme in each book as well...
1. "The Furious Longing of God" by Brennan Manning (the love of God)
2. "The Final Quest" by Rick Joyner (visions/heaven/eternity/the Church)
3. "Visions Beyond the Veil" by H.A. Baker (visions of heaven)
4. "After God's Own Heart" by Mike Bickle (David/the love of God)
5. "The Jesus I Never Knew" by Phillip Yancey (Jesus and the Gospels)
6. "Inside Heaven's Gates" by Rebecca Springer (visions of heaven)
7. "Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ" also called "Experiencing God through Prayer" by Theresa of Avila (experiencing God/prayer/Holy Spirit)
8. "Driven By Eternity" by Randy Alcorn (teaching about Eternity/Heaven/Stewardship)
9. "God's Generals: Why They Succeeded and Why Some Failed" (12 Biographies of Revivalists in the last 100 years who touched America)
